Harvey Whyte (UK)
Harvey Whyte is a rapper, self-taught pianist and producer, born and bred in Hackney, London.
Not many rappers can perform as well in front of a mic as they can behind a grand piano, but his evolution continues to amaze anyone who crosses his path. Harvey’s piano-rap fusion is paired with clever wordplay and vivid storytelling abilities which can only be found in the DNA of an inner-city musician.
His style spans multiple genres; from hip hop, trap, neo-soul, and alternative RnB to jazz and electronic. It’s this versatility, alongside his skills as a producer, that’s also put him firmly at the top of the collaborators’ list. In the past two years he has worked alongside and released tracks with Sigma, Footsie, Greentea Peng, KeepVibesNear, Luke RV, Fatima amongst others.
In August 2022, Harvey released an EP ‘East 2 West’. He then released a series of singles which featured on his debut album ‘Piano Rap’ - released September 2023. In October 2024 he released his sophomore album ‘Fatalism’.
During that time he has seen his fan base grow globally across all platforms. Last year a clip of him performing his track ‘Mocktails and Weed’ went viral on Instagram, receiving over
2.5 million views and 206k likes. This saw his following grow from 4k to 43k, and also garnered him some celebrity followers - SZA even commented and DM’d him!
In the past 2 years, he has also been wowing audiences performing live with his own unique brand of ‘piano rap'. He has performed numerous headline and support shows in and around London, including The Roundhouse, Jazz Cafe, Colours, Two Palms, Paper Dress Vintage, BoxPark, Hackney Social Club, Off The Cuff and Hootananny.
