Steg G & The Housing Scheme Orchestra (UK)

Steg G is a Glaswegian Hip Hop producer, artist and DJ based in Govan, widely recognised as one of the key figures in Scottish Hip Hop culture. A Scottish Alternative Music Award winner, Steg has spent years creating and championing quality Hip Hop in Scotland and beyond through production, performance, media and grassroots community work. His sound blends classic boom bap, heavy drums, samples and cinematic orchestral textures, rooted in working-class Glasgow life.

As a live artist, Steg G has performed alongside and supported major Hip Hop names including 50 Cent, DJ Premier, Mobb Deep, Brother Ali, Eminem and many more, while remaining deeply committed to building and exporting Scotland’s grassroots Hip Hop scene.

As both an artist and culture-builder, Steg G has helped create platforms for MCs, DJs, producers, dancers and creatives across Scotland, while continuing to push his own music forward through ambitious, critically acclaimed projects and albums, including Live Today, Demons, and his forthcoming project The Housing Scheme Orchestra.
