Niko Backspin (Backspin Magazine)
Active in the hip-hop scene for 20 years and owner of BACKSPIN, Germany's oldest active hip-hop magazine, since 2009. Niko has conducted over 1,000 interviews, hosted various podcast formats, and produced documentaries and reports, always maintaining his journalistic integrity and close connection to the culture. Beyond hip-hop, he also works as a moderator and producer in fields such as football, US sports, and gaming. In early 2024, he founded an urban culture agency under the Serviceplan Group.
Niko has mastered German rap journalism, from exclusive high-end interviews with stars to graffiti underground reports, festival reports, and films about hip-hop worldwide. With 20 years in the industry and over 30 years of cultural immersion, he is the go-to expert for all things related to hip-hop culture.
