Sam Jordan – Sessions Official, Recording & Broadcasting @ Musicians’ Union 

Sam is the Sessions Official for the MU’s Recording & Broadcasting team, advising on the rates and terms for engaging musicians for recording work in the UK and helping them protect their rights. Working with musicians, contractors, production companies and record labels, work is carried out for projects in Film, TV, Commercial Audio, Video Games, Advertising and more. In consultation with the MU’s members, Sam leads on the negotiation of the MU’s Collective Bargaining Agreements for recording session work.

Day to day work also includes the licensing of session musicians’ performances in existing commercial audio recordings, for synchronisation purposes and backing track use.

Sam’s previous roles have included work in the Licensing Teams at EMI Records and Beggars Group, and Membership & Events at the Music Publishers Association.
